a kpop hot take | iz*one | a thread đŸ„
1. For starters, I don’t like IZ*ONE. They’re a newer group that’s clearly unpolished but in my opinion they aren’t really worth the hype YET. And this is pushing aside the lineup voting scandal. I don’t believe that scandal was their fault whatsoever, but it’s not a good look.
2. Don’t really like Sakura. She never stuck out to me as particularly talented. Her first audition for the program was incredibly overdramatic and effects were added to her dancing to make it seem better. Her voice is subpar.
Sakura also had attitude issues before such as calling some of the HKB48 members out for not going to a fan meet when they were sick, even though she did the exact same thing. She also fat-shamed a friend online before claiming she was hacked. Sis
 no. 🗿
3. The most talented members to me are Eunbi and Chaeyeon. And Minju has a lot of potential.
4. There weren’t many talented Japanese trainees in the program. I understand that Japan’s idol system is WAY different. it doesn’t make sense to me that there wasn’t a single more talented Japanese trainee ready/available. Especially since twice has 4 talented Japanese members.
5. Wonyoung’s a fine center. She showcases her charms and the concept of IZ*ONE really suits her. But I think others should have the chance to be a center. In regular title track choreos, Chaeyeon’s hardly seen in the center even though she’s the main dancer.
I’d also love to see Eunbi more. The times I see Chaeyeon in the center are mostly for special stages where they need her to do something big.
6. If I had to choose, I like Hitomi & Nako way more than Sakura. None of them deserve hate though.
7. They hardly have any stage presence as a group. At least not compared to some other groups. Their stages right now really suit the concepts they’re pushing, but a stronger concept is something I think only three or four of them would be able to pull off.
8. I.O.I had better “mains” on a general level. And far, far better rappers. The girls had more stage presence, all of them were talented in some way.
9. I’m iffy on who should have won. I don't think Wonyoung should have won, exactly, but it is true that she’s incredibly popular in Korea. I honestly thought Eunbi or Chaeyeon would win.
10. Sakura stans are some of the most ridiculous people I’ve seen online. Claiming that Sakura is more talented and eye-catching than literally everyone else in IZ*ONE, dissing a literal fifteen year old because they’re salty their fave didn't win. I smell solo stans. đŸ€š
11. Y’all really think Wonyoung isn't going to be affected by all the hate? When she’s suffering from depression years later like so many idols before her (i.e. Taeyeon, Leeteuk, Jonghyun, etc) will you just delete all your hate comments and play innocent? SHE’S FIFTEEN GUYS.
12. I honestly don’t Hyewon having a major role as a performer. I think that she’s an important member though, since all the other members really love and depend on her? I admit that I do have a soft spot for her ever since seeing her take care of her Japanese roommates so well.
13. I’m sorry, but Vampire fucking sucked. It sounded like a cover and was really really really unpolished. I’m sorry, but that’s just my opinion.
End of thread!
Thanks for coming to my ted talk. I seriously don’t mind if you stan Sakura or IZ*ONE as a whole but these are just my opinions. This isn’t me saying to go hate on IZ*ONE or Sakura because of my personal opinion; no one deserves hate.

I might make another one. 😳
