The Presheva Valley is the most discriminated and at the same time poorest region in Europe. With an unemployment rate of 90% and an investment rate of Serbia of 0%, there is no investment in this region to "cleanse" the region ethnically.
1. The region "Lugina e Presheves" has no hospital. With over 100,000 Albanians, the most basic things are missing. For medical treatment Albanians have to drive one hour to Vranje or Niš.
2. Lugina e Presheves has not been demilitarized until today. Weekly Serbian tanks and heavy artillery drive through the streets to intimidate the Albanian population. 20 years after the war, these images cause fear in many people.
The largest military base was built only a few kilometers from Bujanoc. Imagine Serbian tanks rolling through Mitrovica every week. Unimaginable
3. The Court, as well as the public prosecutor's office, were taken away from the Presheva valley and brought to Vranje. Now, every citizen of the region has to drive for hours to pick up documents in Vranje or make other appointments.
4. There is no Albanian university in Presheva The majority of the youth is forced to study in Pristina or Tirana due to the lack of Serbian lessons. The problem is that qualifications from Kosovo are not recognized in Serbia.
Another part of the plan for systematic expulsion. This means that the young people do not come back and continue to focus their lives there.
5. Albanian books are banned in the school system. Even the Albanian flag is banned, but this does not stop the Albanian population from continuing to hoist it there, because the Albanian population in Lugina, is known for its patriotism.
Despite this, Albanians are punished with heavy fines for hoisting the flag. This represents scandalous discrimination by the Serbian state government and is not compatible with European values.
6. Arrests and house searches ala Slobodan Milošević, of innocent Albanians, are still considered as a method to frighten the Albanian population. To this day, UÇPMB fighters are imprisoned in Serbian prisons
7. Every year the population of Albanians in Presheva, Bujanoc, and Medvegja decreases. Teachers and directors report that there are fewer and fewer school classes. Silently we observe an ethnic cleansing
8. Although the population is 95% Albanian, only 50% of the police in Presheva is Albanian. In Bujanoc only one out of three police officers is Albanian, in Medvegja one out of five. The situation in the state institutions is even worse.Only 30% of the employees there are Albanian
While the Serbian state protects its population in Kosovo and fights for their rights, the Kosovar and Albanian state is just watching and not reacting.
9. Ramush Haradinaj has restricted travel to Kosovo with a Serbian passport. Kurti restricts them even more with reciprocity. Serbian documents are no longer recognized. Albanians are not allowed to enter Kosovo!
The institutions from Albania do not react, requests for Albanian documents are refused. There is no embassy for the Albanians living there. Procedures for the release from Serbian citizenship are ignored and not processed.
So Albanians sometimes wait 20 years for a release. The EU does not react. All this continues to happen. Instead of drawing the appropriate conclusions, Serbia is negotiating with the EU about its status as a candidate country. A scandal that gets no attention
While Kosovo is liberated, the Albanians in Lugina live like 20 years ago in former Yugoslavia. Nobody does anything, everyone watches. If you are such a patriot, react. Zubin Potoku and Leposavic are more important to many Albanians than their compatriots.
If nothing happens now, Lugina will become Sanxhak 2.0, or Cameria 2.0. Radicals from Turkey-funded Islam associations will increasingly influence the region, while Albania and Kosovo are asleep. Do something, now!
