Today my niece taught me a lesson. She’s learning to go to the bathroom on her own (she knows how she just chooses to do it when she wants
)...part of her routine is “toilet time”. This is where someone sits in there with her to talk and sing songs.

Today was my shift
So I’m sitting with her and she explains that she couldn’t pee because her pee was “sleep”....

So she proceeds to yell “pee pee WAKE UP. Pee pee is bout to come”, MULTIPLE times, while looking in the toilet. Of course, I’m being the supportive Aunt and smiling as she tries to wake her pee up....
Quite frankly, it worked. Maybe 5 minutes later.... her pee “woke up” and she went! At first, I giggled at her technique but she taught me something

Lesson: even if/when things seem hard/tough.... YOU have to encourage yourself and believe that you can and YOU WILL
Keep telling yourself until you believe it!! It’s already in you, just gotta tap into it!

I’m thinking this will be a thread for my niece and her shenanigans!
Like this morning when she called me to tell me to wake up and remind me to drink my gallon of water today

You know how you can feel someone staring at you!? Well, I was sleep & felt it. When I opened my eyes, my niece was laying there quietly
she looked, smiled & said “Goodmorning”. It warmed my lil (still sleepy) heart

I told y’all. I was gon get in someone’s pool. Even if it was my niece’s & I could barely stretch my legs out

My sister saw my pics yesterday and called me immediately. As soon as I answered my niece screams, “Noni, you look so bu-ta-ful”.
(Apparently, my lip color was her fav part)
Even when I look a mess, she reminds me that I’m
. She will speak an affirmation with the quickness.
