I deleted the thread on that recent hot topic (aside from the last few clarification tweets) for a couple reasons:
1) I think the callout that I qrted should& #39;ve been better worded in terms of mentioning the specific users involved and should& #39;ve been more clear on who said what.
2) and while I had been wanting to make a thread on my thoughts on this topic, I should& #39;ve made it a separate thread. And I& #39;ll be doing that now, currently re-writing it to be a bit more concise instead of rambling.
All I& #39;ll say about that call out is that making inappropriate comments using *screencaps* of live-action characters played by kid actors is not okay. That is no longer fiction because you& #39;re commenting on the kids actor& #39;s physical attributes. Sorry, I& #39;m not budging on that.
Fanart is more complicated and has more nuance to it (hence all the tweets being made about it). And even though I have my issues with nsfw fanart of live-action characters, I still don& #39;t think we should be throwing the p-word around so easily if only fanart/drawings are involved
Even if they are played by real life actors, live-action characters are still fictional characters, they& #39;re fictional concepts, so I can see why some people may not see any issue with making nsfw content of these characters...

BUT-
I just think that more caution and consideration needs to be taken into account when that actor is underage (and when the nsfw content is art/visual), that& #39;s all.
