6 things I learnt this Ramadan
(A thread)
1. Be humble, before life humbles you
2. Just because you were born into Islam, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take the time to do your own research on the religion. As much of a blessing as it is, once you start learning, you fall in love with the deen and realize how little you actually know, as there is an infinite
amount of knowledge and always room for improvement
3. A sin that humbles you, causes you to repent and brings you closer to Allah is better than a good deed that makes you arrogant and makes you feel that you are better than anyone else
4. The need to “fit in” with society is much less important than the need to know the difference between right and wrong. Don’t follow blindly. Think for yourself. Be your own person
5. Respect and tolerance. One of the most important lessons. It’s impossible for everyone to agree all the time but difference of opinion or beliefs should never be the basis for disrespect. You don’t need to agree with someone to tolerate them. No matter what differences are -
between everyone, the one thing we all have in common is that we are all humans. So where’s the humanity ? Where’s the peace and where’s the love
6. This dunya was made for us but we were not made to stay on this dunya forever. It’s nice to be successful in this life but focussing only on worldly possessions will never bring you true contentment because mankind will always want more or something better.
Awe that’s basically what I learnt and some stuff in the kitchen lol
