So I wanna discuss a little abit about the #FireMikeMearls thing that as everyone knows im a big shouter-about, and that is where we are now with it and how much is enough. Stay with me here, I'm not back pedaling on Mike, im asking if Mike is enough at this point -> 1/?

SIX years ago Mike Mearls was approached by people that were victims of zak, he gaslit those victims in the public eye, called them liars, he also informed zak of their identities. OKay im gonna on an aside here because I just made one connection. -> 2/?

When we say Mike Mearls passed a long information about harassment complaints to the abuser himself & people say "what proof do you have" well i literally know victims, I have victim testimony which is enough for me, HOWEVER I just realized that the other bit I talk about -> 3/?

The fact the Mike Mearls named and shamed several victims calling them liars on interviews, wasnt JUSt a move to discredit them and hurt their reputation in the industry it is LITERALLY PROOF of him naming some of those people -> 4/?

Anyway, coming back online here. SIZ YEARS ago Mike mearls was warned about zak, and decided to feed those folks to Zak, publicly shame them and hire zak to work on #dnd 5E. SIX YEARS. I know victims complained then, @Wizards_DnD and @Hasbro didnt care then. -> 5/?

FEBRUARY 2019 Zaks atrocities of violent rape and abuse once again brought the dnd connection to light. Over a year ago, @Wizards_DnD and @Hasbro had yet another chance to act, and they did nothing. We are now here, over a year later, since then they have showed that they -> 6/?

CLEARLY know mike is a problem, hes been exiled from twitter since February, he was moved out of the ttrpg spotlight and shuffled to the video game branch for abit. Less than a month ago @JeremyECrawford said, knowing EXACTLY how it would read, IMPLIED he was gone -> 7/?

Yesterday, it was revealed that he was in fact coming back to dnd full time. Since that time this clip on twitch & others like it have been deleted. Why would the delete a clip announcing Mearl's return? Obviously they know hes toxic, but they STILL. WONT. LET. HIM. GO. -> 8/?

So that brings me to this campaign to get him fired. Is it enough now to just hold him responsible? Should the people who have in turn shielded and protected Mike Mearls for SIX fucking years also not be held accountable at this point? They've had AMPLE opportunity to act -> 9/?

If you force someone to do something about an injustice after years and years of wearing them down, they are not doing the right thing, they are acceding. They have proven they still do not understand WHY what happened was wrong, which means they are not pledged or able -> 10/?

to ensure that it will not happen again. Anywho, forcing people to do the right thing while they are kicking and screaming the whole way does not vindicate them for the support they've offered abusers. #FireMikeMearls but also fire a whole lot of other people. -> 11/?

I want to state that boots on the ground, entry folks, freelancers, general grunts, especially marginalized folks trying to get by & working for that pay check, I will never begrudge you getting your livelihood. It is a privelage to turn down work not many people have. fini 12/12
