Often unappreciated is how important, and if we are being honest, powerful department admins are. At #SUU, the department of #Languages and #Philosophy is fortunate to have arguable *the best* admin on campus.

Here’s a quick thread in appreciation of my dpt admin, Jennilee. /1

I credit much of the success of the philosophy program to Jennilee. She is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and goes *way* out of her way to ensure that our students (and even students from other schools!) get the help they need
Whether it’s schedules, transfers, course subs, travel /2

Or literally anything else, Jennilee is there for our students.
She’s always been an advocate for our program, which is awesome. She doesn’t just facilitate the program, she *advocates* forcefully.

She is able to expertly manage three philosophers’ idiosyncrasies, listens /3

to our silly rants about anything and everything, and, like the philosopher she is, pushes back, helping us think more carefully about it all.

An admin can make or break a department. Jennilee holds us all together. Without her, the we couldn’t pull off the #utahlyceum, the /4

Undergraduate Philosophy Conference ( #SUUUPC), or many of the other things we try to do for SUU.

In short, Jennilee is amazing. You’d be lucky to have a friend and admin half as good as her.
