initially we knew very little about Covid-19. It was a new virus on the scene. By now we know a lot more about it and there are no valid arguments (to my knowledge) that would justify any further delay in going back to our normal lives

this being the case or not: Dr. Vladimir Zelenkos Protocol reduced mortality by 99% in his 1450 Covid-19 patients. Other studies showed a 95% decrease in mortality (using Hydroxychloroquine in combination with Azithromycin OR Zinc, not BOTH of them)

new infection rates show a flattening curve in many countries now, but this might be a result of the strict measures so many governments have taken. This at least is the argument of those in favour of prolonging restrictive measures

to my understanding there will probably be more waves of infection in the future, because immunity in the US by now has reached an estimated 15-20%, a number which is still far away from herd immunity, which lies at 60-70%

from what we know NOW about Covid-19, the only logical way to proceed is to start reopening the country and at the same time prepare ourselves against future waves of infection by making the Zelenko Protocol of Hydroxychloroqine/Azithromycin/Zinc standard of care
