I'm honestly so torn about the Beastars manga. It's pointed out so often that interracial relationships and homosexual relationships are somewhat considered taboo in the world of Beastars (1/4)

But while there are numerous characters having interracial relationships to portay that there's nothing wrong with that, there isn't a single same-sex relationship in the manga that would suggest that homosexuality is anything but immoral and 'not normal' (2/4)

Literally the only wlw scene we get to see in the manga takes places in a fetish club and is promptly labelled 'wrong' by the main character who, himself, is in a relationship considered unusual in this universe :/ (3/4)

At the same time though, the mangaka certainly isn't above queerbaiting. On the contrary, the more chapters there are the more blatant the queerbaiting becomes. (4/4)
