1/ In Derridean postmodern thought, binaries are linguistic constructs which maintain power (such as the sex binary of male and female).

To expose the power structure, a binary can be deconstructed through showing that it "contains contradictions and is thus absurd."
2/ This is precisely why intersex individuals are used in discourses to deconstruct the binary of sex, because, in the minds of the theorists, intersex individuals are excellent "contradictions" to the binary system, and thus expose the binary's absurdity.
3/ Ironically, to use intersex individuals to deconstruct the "sex binary" is to imply that intersex is somehow an 'other' who is outside of it.

In reality, intersex is simply a series of variations within the binary, and thus, does not contradict it.
4/ Thus, to use intersex individuals as a contradiction in the binary system is to both implicitly and explicitly 'other' them.
