May we speak honestly as adults for a moment?

Biden's "you ain't really black" remark will be forgotten by dinner. He will survive because no one, including black voters (especially older ones) cares, the media will move on, and no one really thinks Biden's a racist.
What most of this is about is the difference in treatment for Republicans and Democrats.

Mitt Romney made a point about how his staff wasn't bringing him enough female candidates for spots in his administration so he asked women's groups to provide names.
He said after he did that outreach to include more women, these groups brought him "binders full of women". That was dishonestly and willfully turned into an accusation Romney was a misogynist, trying to usher in The Handmaid's Tale.
A lot of people, in a lot of different groups, still haven't come to terms with how Romney's treatment in 2012, and McCain's before him, led to Trump's popularity among Republicans and why they still cheer him on when he takes on reporters.
