Ive seen so many people mistakenly mix up Remaster, Remake, and Reimagining, and Im really sick of it because its very simple.

Remaster: A simple port. The game can look better, have some new graphical effects, maybe even some new content cut or removed from the original or less
Remake: A game that is being rebuilt from the ground up on a new engine or even the same engine (rarely the same engine) with new graphics, character models, environments, graphical effects to be modernized.
Modern warfare Remastered is a remake
Xenoblade DE is a remake
A reimagining is a remake, but with a new story and interpretations. This is also a "reboot"
Ff7r is a reboot/reimagining, and a remake
Xenoblade chronicles DE is not a reboot, but it has extra content called Future Connected, which wasnt in the original game
This changes nothing
Please for the love of god stop mixing these up, im quite aware its confusing because even devs mix it up
Xenoblade chronicles DE is a REMAKE
The game runs on an entirely new engine with almost nothing from the original game being the same, its like SOTC remake.
Shadow of the colossus is a recreation from the ground up from bluepoint to make it as similar as the original as it can be while also being completely new and able to use modern graphical techniques and 60fps and high resolutions.
Xenoblade de is the same
