One thing that deeply resonated with me in @cthagod's frustration with Biden was that our polarized, two-party system makes it easy for both parties to get you to vote *against* the other party instead of *for* them. It leaves marginalized communities with little voice and power. https://twitter.com/keithboykin/status/1263841601530597376
Both parties try their best to distract from their own deficiencies by focusing on how the other party is toxic -- often on the basis of race and identity.

It can be extremely harmful to the democratic process, especially one as diverse as ours.
I work on primaries because it's basically the only venue for accountability and leverage for many of our communities.

In the general, many Democrats just try to tell us the GOP is racist so we should just get in line -- only to pass stimulus bills that leave out immigrants.
I just don't think this setup can last very long without a major shift, especially as the nation grows more diverse every year and many loyal Democratic Party voters, especially younger ones, get fed up with this behavior from their party leadership.
