I am uncomfortable with the sudden boom of people who are like "yeah! Let's bring back scene aesthetics!" Bc it seems like the majority of those people missed out on the height of the scene & its like... [cont]

every person who I know who was actually scene at some point looks back on the scene with a lot of trauma. I don't think people understand the way scene kids acted, and what was common behavior in the scene. [cont]

[ csa cw] like idk if anyone here has kept up with anything about d*hvie v*nity but literally every video you have his victims saying how it was just commonplace for adults to treat kids like he did. [cont]

The colorful iconography, bright clothing, showy aesthetics are literally there because adults in the scene wanted to get the attention of kids. so it makes me SO uncomfortable as someone who went through that, to see now adults act like the scene was only ever harmless fun

I know the majority of people who are for "bringing back the scene" literally are unaware of what they're doing but, idk, if I was one of those people I would seriously rethink what I was doing because it's not really a "harmless aesthetic" at all
