Things I Understand from JH's VLive [20.05.18]

-A Thread-

(Please note that I'm still practicing my Korean and English. So, if you find any mistakes please kindly correct me)

- The other members are doing well.
- That day was their rest day, so JH would like to greet us through VLive.
- He changed his eyeglasses.
- He asked how we're doing
- He cut his hair and he said DH will greet us on VLive soon. He also mentioned that DH's hair is pretty ahaha

- "Don't worry, we're working on the album well."
- He gained a lot of weight since the 6th Anniv VLive, so he's losing his weight. He doesn't like his unhealthy looks.
- "Today is cheating day so me, DH & KJ ate Shabu-shabu together." (Thanks to this I learned new word :")

-He talked about 'Tanghulu' (Chinese candied fruit). He said on DH's birthday, he ate together with DH's friends. On the way to the studio, he met his friend for a while and he saw this Tanghulu so he tried it. But then, there's someone who came to him and asked him [cont..]

.. if he's Jannabi or not on the first bite. He thought that the sugar which coated the Tanghulu was sticky but it turned out to be hard Bcs the texture wasn't as imagined, he kinda flustered while saying "Yes.. that's me". This person who asked him took a picture with [cont..]

- "The music is too loud? Ok.."
*turning down the volume*

"But if the music is too small, I also can't hear it. I'll turning up a little bit. "

- He said they miss us.
- JH fanboying to The Beatles START!

- "There's a saying that The Beatles, Elvis Presley & Michael Jackson aren't men from earth but aliens. I'd rather believe that. *amazed* How can they wrote songs like these?"
- A fan said his shoulder becomes wider. He's been swimming for a while. But hasn't been going lately.

- "Oppa 'seungmogeun' (trapezius muscle) is slowly disappearing. What should I do?"
- "Woah.. Looks like 'Oppa seungmogeun' is a trend among all of you." *pout*
- Someone said his 'seungmogeun' looks the same as usual. He replied with "Really? That's a relief."

- A fan asked for the 3rd Album's spoiler. JH replied he had said it could be 2.5th album. But he doesn't know yet. It could be a mini-album, full-album, or something between. He's still thinking about it bcs he wants to make a good album.

- "If you asked when the album will come out. It'll come out this year". JH said he will manage to finish it before autumn comes.
- A fan asked how many percents are the album done? JH said almost 20 songs have been written [cont..]

.. "I think it's going to be an album that will wrap-up the 10 years we've been together (Jannabi & Choi Siljang-nim). So I opened again all the old songs that have been written & if we release all of that without finishing the album, it looks like the amount of 3 to 4 album."

- He has a lot of thought bcs he wants to make a good album. (He keeps saying this)
- A fan asked about MV & Jacket filming. JH replied that they haven't finished to that point yet.
- JH didn't do his eyebrows (still handsome tho)
- They still thinking about appearing on MV

- While preparing the album, he thinks a lot about doing performances. He can't wait to do performances again.
- HE HOPES THAT THEY CAN RELEASE THE ALBUM BEFORE DH & KJ JOIN THE ARMY IM- (someone bring me tissues pls)

- They've been doing the album all night long every day & don't have a lot of time to sleep. But that day, they slept a lot, ate a lot of delicious food
- They have a box with fan-letters inside at their studio. They read it in their free time and almost read everything [cont]

..It gives them a lot of energy every time they read it JH said sometimes he read it while eating too. Then, he thanked Jan-fans for the good words a for always cheering them.

- JH said he's only doing the album these days. But during 2nd album making period, he drank 1 pack lemon detox drink every night before sleep.
- This is when he was living in the Studio. "When I was working on the 2nd album, I'm really scared [cont..]

.. the moment I lie down in bed. Because of the undone lyrics I wrote. I always said to myself (on the bed) "Let's stop here today and just go to sleep." That time was winter and the place doesn't fit washing up, so I only washed my face and go to sleep. [cont..]

..But now that we have a dorm, I wash up in the bathroom. People have different patterns when they wash-up right? Someone brushes their teeth first or maybe washing their hair first. I repeated that pattern twice every day. When I wash-up in the morning [cont..]

..I was thinking "Ah... I wish I could feel better when I wash-up at night." But then it's the same. So I always wash-up in the same mood. But still, I like that time the most."
- JH's wash-up pattern is 1. Brushing teeth; 2. Washing hair [cont..]

..(after shampoo-ing there has to be foam left); 3. Washing body; 4. Making foam then wash the face *giggling*
- KJ went home to rest that day.
- A fan asked something about 3rd Album (I'm not sure what is it, sorry) then JH said he'll tell it after the album comes out.

- SO FAR, the 3rd album direction is more like the 1st album, lively and colorful.
- It won't be Monkey Hotel 2.
- They haven't started working on the lyrics yet.
- He made up his mind that day to start focusing on what should he write.

- "There's a big difference between composing and writing lyrics. Composing can be done in the studio. But writing lyrics, as for himself, he's a style that can go till the end of the sea." (I think that's an analogy)

- JH wrote 'Dreams, books, power and walls', 'Good Good Night (Intro)' just in a few hours. He said, "Somehow lyrics that I thought were written well came out pretty soon. 'Summer' came out soon too."
- 'Bad Dreams' and 'Land of Night' took a long time to be done.

- A fan asked what's inspired the lyrics. JH said he got a lot of inspiration from the place where he's at while writing the lyrics.
- On the 2nd album making period, he purposely went to his childhood neighborhood almost every day to get inspiration for the theme song he got.

- JH wrote 'Cuckoo' outside a Cafe. But the sun was shining so brightly so he moved to somewhere with shade. After he sat and opened his writing book again, he started to write '난 그늘 아래가 좋아 (I like being under the shade)'. Places really gave him big inspiration for lyrics
