normally i don't really care for rappers who rap fast and aggressively. but yoongi does it with purpose. he goes from the reflective, team-oriented yoongi on BTS records to putting people in their place when he has to. it's not a gimmick, it's purposeful.

other rappers rap fast and aggressively just to show off, to seem edgy, to seem like hip hop saviors or some shit. yoongi has elements of that, but within the context of what he's been through, of what k-hip-hop and the idol industry looks like, of what's around him.

he's calling out the bullshit that gets propagated in korean hip hop these days by privileged kids appropriating american hip hop culture. but he's not some backpacker who's just anti-"mainstream". you can see he has love for modern rap
