Comparing things to the Nazi flag/Nazis is an easy way to stir strong emotion and stop any real discussion from happening because no one wants to argue against "Nazis = bad" but it erases literally every other complexity and nuance from the issue at hand

You know as someone whose country was under imperialist control for 300y it's really fucking infuriating seeing every example of evil being boiled down to "they were just like Nazis". Each culture and country have their own history with their own nuance and complexities, (+)
Equating the Portuguese or the Japanese or whoever your new Twitter Assigned Enemy is to Nazis completely erases the very specific intersectional, demographical and historical oppression that OTHER cultures went through. (+)
My native ancestors did NOT suffer slavery and genocide in the same way African natives did. South Koreans did NOT suffer imperialist control and violent oppression in the same way Jewish people did.
