(1) I sketch the quote first, it depends on how you like to write it!
cuz if you go straight into writing... it'll be a srious mess i'm telling you
cuz if you go straight into writing... it'll be a srious mess i'm telling you
(2) now transfer it to the paper that you'll use, as a calligrapher like me who uses watercolor, I use watercolor paper! don't use normal bondpaper, it'll just bleed. what's good when transfering it is you can change some parts!
(3) after that I'll use my Tombow dual brush pen N89 (warm grey) to fully cover the sketch, so you have a guide where to paint.
(4) using my eraser I carefully erase all the pencil sketch that I made, and that is how you come up with a clean piece (it's not the end,
we're just starting)

(5) clean you workspace and prepare the other materials you'll need in the next step, here I prepared my watercolors, my mixing pallete, water, and a size 3 brush from tokyo finds. it's better to use a small brush if your gonna mix colors or you'll paint small areas
(6)now I'm preparing the colors that I'll use, since this is a quote from one of TayTay's songs in her album lover, I'll be using Purple, Pink, and Blue, I added white to them since I like pastel color, and added some shimmer using my pearlized watercolor from tokyo finds(
(7) now u paint, since I love mixing colors, this is hard, you really have to focus that is why there's a guide. you have to out the first colorand make sure it's still wet so that the two colors mix when u put the other one.
(8) y'all it's hatd to fil with ur other hand, and this will make it a lot harder if ur hands are shaking, cuz one wrong move can sometimes ruin the whole piece.
(10) now we're done! just let it dry and ur done! but for me, it's still not done, since I'll still be putting details, and I'm just letting it dry
(11) with my warm gray tombow that I used earlier, I'll use it again to make shadows this time, and with my white gelly roll I added more details with the letters
that is why this artworks that seem so easy should never be taken advantage by others, cuz some people don't know how hard it is to make them and the effort that we put in it

someone asked for recommendation of materials, so I actually don't have any recommendations all are good! but I'll still share the mats I often use.
from the paper, I often use Tokyo Finds watercolor which has 300gsm , I also tried Berckley, Canson, and Fabriano and they are all good! If you use watercolor, I recommend papers starting from 200 gsm and above!
from the pearlized watercolors which is a watercolor that shimmers, for now I only used these from Tokyo Finds which costs P795 they are my favorite!
and for the shadows and covering the pencil sketches! I recommend any brush pen that has a warm gray color like this one! it is Tombow Dual Brush Pen N89 (warm gray)t
and for watercolor! I only use Poster paint from dong-a and just mix is with water since it's very pigmented!

That's all I can post for now
I hope this thread helps you if ur trying to learn calligraphy
