@gmail My client is having trouble with contacts not auto populating in the to: field, and I'm wondering if someone would be able to help, since I suspect this issue is a bug Gmail's end.
The issue is inconsistent: some contacts show up in autocomplete, and others do not. We recently imported and merged hundreds of contacts, which seems to be when the problem started, and there does not seem to be a pattern in what works/doesn't.
The problem occurs in both Safari and Chrome (including in private browsing sessions) on macOS, as well as on her iPhone, but not her iPad (in the Gmail app). So the problem is not specific to her browser or device.
I've exported all of the contacts to a spreadsheet, and nothing looks amiss. Her data is correctly mapped to the appropriate fields, and I don't see anything that jumps out as unusual or incorrect in the export.
We've tried deleting all her contacts and reimporting them, but she's reported that this has only made the problem worse (after waiting 12+ hours for Gmail to reindex).

Autocomplete appears to work in the HTML version of the web app, but that's not a viable long-term workaround.
Is there anything else on our end we should try?
