There is this whole discourse by the privileged classes questioning the ongoing migrant crisis. Their argument blames migrants for having more than two children. Yes, population control is necessary but it can be achieved through education which migrant workers lack access too.

Secondly, the women in these households lie at the bottom of the social ladder. Women might be earning members but they lack the social, economic capital to question their husbands and stop them. Alot of these women feel the need to please their husbands for their social security

Thirdly, marital rapes are an existing reality. Women at times do not have a say when it comes to sex. For families poverty below the line, having more children is seen as an economic asset for earning more money especially if it's a boy.

To conclude, the question those in power and privileged enough should ensure that the government is doing enough to ensure welfare of these sections of the society rather than blaming those at the bottom most of the social hierarchy.
