You know what I'd do to combat racism?
I would establish a universal national service draft. Not military, although the military would be drawn from it. All people, rich or poor, healthy or sick, would spend two years, from 18 to 20, in service to America.

2. All races would serve, together. No segregation. They would heal the land, pick up the trash, feed the poor, build needed facilities, restore brownfields, garden cities, and it would all be done together, all races, helping one another.

3. Afterwards, as payment they had earned, all people would receive lifetime health care, such education as they wanted and could use, and a lifetime basic income.
They would know people from all backgrounds and races. They would know how to work and cooperate.

4. The concept of "rights" without responsibilities would be eradicated from American culture. That concept is obviously poisonous.
We're all in this together. We need to serve together, to work together, to learn together. Only afterwards would we go our own way.
