They are:
A full understanding of the transmission rate of Coronavirus in Doncaster. We currently don’t have access to this data.
Full access to PPE for teachers and sanitising equipment for both staff and children.
Confidence that schools and nurseries are able to deal with the Government’s physical distancing guidelines in classrooms & around schools as more children attend.

Earlier this week, the Mayor asked local parents for their views on how & when children should return to school.
More than 9,500 parents and carers gave their feedback, with 66% of those who have children in Nursery, Reception, Y1 and Y6 saying they don’t intend for their children to return to school or nursery if they were to reopen from 1 June.
The situation will constantly be monitored, with discussions continuing with everyone who is affected, to ensure that schools and nurseries are collectively prepared for a safe return for our children.
Despite this recommendation from the Mayor, schools and nurseries have the final decision on when they should reopen.
