I arrived at @whocaresscot seven years ago full of passion, anger and a determination to make people accountable. I had such an idealistic perspective - that children and young people deserve justice. That the structures around them lead to oppression. https://twitter.com/whocaresscot/status/1263831997627146243?s=19
@duncdunlop made sure that I never parked that. He created an environment where it could be turned into projects, opportunities for Care Experienced people to get involved and most importantly, change. And he reminded me the whole time that it's only really people that matter.
I've liked sharing and talking about LGBTQ history with Duncan. Because he has always been respectful and reflective about what life is like for others.

Last year, we went to London for a thing and had a drink at the Admiral Duncan. We talked about the significance of the place.
Then, before the rest of us knew, he had disappeared over the road to a closed ice-cream shop with my pal @Dandelamotte.

Being two of the biggest charmers that I know, of course they managed to get a cone. And a photo next to the guerilla tourist information sign Dan put up.
I learned from Duncan seven years ago that shiny objects and the best made plans don't mean anything if people don't actually believe in what you're doing.

I'm a better campaigner, manager and person because of the culture of friendship and challenge that he presided over.
