LGB Alliance simply have no aims/goals over than to discredit the existence of trans people. There is absolutely no genuine outreach to gay, lesbian & bisexual people unless it directly hurts the trans community. They are an illegitimate organisation, a thread:
Their site has created issues that do not exist. For instance, they write that cis lesbians are being forced to have sex with trans women on a large scale & that lesbians are being accused of hate crimes if they do not sleep with them. I have two things to say about this:
1) Their obsession with genitalia means that they assume all trans women have penises. They do not. They also devalue any sexual relationships between cis women & trans women, degrading trans women to the point that they think no cis woman would ever CHOOSE to be with them.
2) Nobody is forcing anybody to have a sex with anybody. They are pretending that there is an overwhelming push to force lesbians into sex with trans women which there frankly, just isn’t. They perpetuate the hyper-sexualision of queerness which is damaging to all of us.
Here, they talk about the “danger” that trans rights pose to cis LGB people. Yet, they don’t actually say what that danger is? The tell here is that they refer to trans women as “men [who] self-ID as women.” The implication is that data about LGB people will be incorrect-

-because the inclusion of trans women will affect policy. What policy? Which policies do trans women pose a threat to? Give me the details. Give me evidence. Notice with this organisation: they never mention trans men. Ever. In fact, they never mention afab trans-
-people because their entire obsession is with the idea that “men” are encroaching on women’s rights. Yet there is honestly nothing in their manifesto to address the fact that it is the heteropatriarchy that strips women of their rights, not a small minority group.
Here we have a screenshot of their “aims” as a group. I’ll respond to these one-by-one:
1. Once again, they speak of this threat that lesbians, gay men & bisexuals face. I STILL do not know what this threat is. The only thing they seem to fight for is “the right for lesbians not to have sex with trans women” which isn’t actually a systemic issue.
2. Here, they say that they support women’s reproductive rights & bodily autonomy. Do they include trans men/nb people in this? If they are saying trans women are not women, surely trans women are not men to them? Are they included in this fight for reproductive rights?-
-Also, in what way are they fighting for the reproductive rights of women? What are they doing? What action are they taking? Are they taking any action unrelated to trans people?
3) Ahhh the protecting children from the queers argument, where have I heard that before? *thinks hard in Section 28*. I don’t have time to go into why their grasp on science is flawed (I love when these people forget intersex people exist too) however-
-the implication that education around gender is basically MAKING kids trans is just such a homophobic dogwhistle, I can’t believe any queer person would DARE use that. Much like LGB people, trans people have always existed, it is recorded throughout history.-
-You can’t make people trans any more than you can make them straight. Though people have tried. A fact these people should know.
4) Well, this is just a right-wing slogan at this point. GIVE ME MY FREE SPEECH TO OPPRESS OTHERS I DEEM SUBHUMAN. Nah, that’s not it.
Look, I didn’t want to give these people the time of day but they are being treated as legitimate when they are not. They have no goals/aims to do anything positive for LGB people unless it hurts trans people. Fini. Also: donate to @Mermaids_Gender
