NEW from @IpsosMORI: Thread on state of the country and perceptions of parties and their leaders

First right direction / wrong direction. After a reversal late April, 42% of Brits think the country is heading in the wrong direction, 33% say right direction
New from @IpsosMORI: favourability towards UK politicians.

- Rishi Sunak leads the way in terms of & #39;net favourability& #39;

- Johnson dips a bit from last time but still in positive territory

- So too is Keir Starmer - but 40% either neutral (33%) or don& #39;t know (7%)
New from @IpsosMORI

- Starmer& #39;s net favourability rating of +8 is way up on Corbyn& #39;s -30 back just before the election in December

- Meanwhile, Johnson is up on himself at that time too,
+7 net favourable now vs -14 before the election
New from @IpsosMORI:

Almost half of Brits (46%) think Keir Starmer will change the Labour Party for the better

Just 9% say worse.

29% say no difference and 16% don& #39;t know.
New from @IpsosMORI:

Favourability towards political parties.

Striking how Labour Party negatives have fallen since the election.

Not great numbers for the Lib Dems
New from @IpsosMORI - and finally

Notable that when we overlay favourability towards politicians with the parties, Johnson is more popular than the Conservatives whereas Starmer and Labour& #39;s ratings similar.

Will be interesting to see if this holds over time
