Because of all the affected people by @travelgenio cancelled flights, I am making a THREAD to inform all the foreign english speakers who want to put a formal complain about the fraudulent actions of this company to the Municipal Consumer Center of Madrid. @consumomadrid
Travelgenio is not answering calls and emails. Only answering with boots and links to pages that dont offer any solution. Their legal base is in Madrid so the only option for us is to put a formal complain to "Consumo Madrid", so the council might fine or even ban this company.
But remember, this formal complain wont give you your money back, probably will cost you some money because the complain will need an oficially-registerd postal mail letter to Spain. Personally, I dont care paying, I want this company to stop scamming people.
If you are Spanish you can do it online but the DNIe or certificado digital es un ñordo supremo and it doesnt work so well. They ask you to do it from internet explorer, WTF yes, or motzilla... a pain in the ass. So, I will explain how to send it by post mail.
All the information in Spanish is here, they explain how to report a consumer infringement. "Comunicar y denunciar una infracción de consumo": https://bit.ly/2XjSzHI  You can right click -> "translate to english". If you want to read it.
"The objective of a consumer complaint is to inform the competent authority of events that are considered harmful to the general interests of consumers, to prevent them from continuing to occur and affect other people."
We wont get our money back, but lets f*ck this scammers up.
"The complaint can be filed at any registration office of the Community of Madrid, and also at the General Directorate of Commerce and Consumption of the Community of Madrid and the Municipal Consumer Information Offices ." NOT REALLY from abroad and during pandemic times fellas.
So we will ship the document through post mail to:

Oficina de Atención al Consumidor de la Comunidad de Madrid

C/ Ramírez de Prado, 5 bis. 28045 Madrid

And it needs to be a certified mail. Yes, it might be more expensive.
A certified mail is a type of shipping, normally you present at the post office a secondary copy of the same document and they stamp it with the date and hour you send it. Its a proof that you sent the document. Normally it comes with track and trace too. https://faq.usps.com/s/article/What-is-Certified-Mail
What do you need to send on your complain?
- Your name, address and passport or ID.
- Info of the company (I will provide you with this)
- Description of what happened.
- You can add documents, screenshots, emails, paying receipts, invoices.
- PDF on the right corner of the page
What do you have to write on the pdf document:

Print everything (two copies of the pdf document), go to the post office (when your corona situation allows it, with all the protection needed)
