Yesterday the National Gallery did a virtual tour of a gallery devoted to women& #39;s art of the 1960s. Most of the replies were so crass and close-minded that I got very depressed. The room is beautiful and if you read the thread and actually LOOK, you learn a lot. 1/3 https://twitter.com/ngadc/status/1263557540543115271">https://twitter.com/ngadc/sta...
I was familiar with Eva Hesse due to a documentary I reviewed. But Yayoi Kusama is new to me. The explanation of her methods and why she used them, and the careful discussion of her painting, mean I& #39;ll never just stroll by another one of her canvases. 2/3 https://twitter.com/ngadc/status/1263559831849521152">https://twitter.com/ngadc/sta...
Earlier in the day I read some American reviews from the first run of CONTEMPT, and wondered why a few critics were so rude and dismissive when the movie& #39;s not hard to get—again, if you LOOK. So I guess in that sense, the replies to the Natl Gallery were useful. 3/3
