Thanks to everyone who attended our ‘After the Interval’ survey results webinar this morning & all organisations already taking part. We’re delighted to see such enthusiasm from the sector. As a recap, read our findings in this thread @ArtsCouncilNI @katyraines (1)
The majority of the audiences surveyed miss the buzz of being at a live event. Although they miss it, audiences are shying away from booking tickets for future events. (2)
NI and ROI audiences show more reluctance towards attending large gatherings and 34% would prefer to stay away from them in order to protect themselves. (3)
What will make people feel better about coming back to live events? Limited capacity, queues management and availability of hand sanitisers scored the highest. Similar to what we’ve seen in supermarkets. (4)
Outdoor events and medium/large seated venues are the type of venues that NI & ROI audiences would feel the most comfortable coming back to. (5)
Audiences here placed the most importance on receiving a refund if an event is cancelled, followed by flexibility in exchanges or receiving a credit. (6)
While people here are concerned about attending live events in the future, there’s still a lot of love shown for the organisations we surveyed. (7)
When venues reopen, their financial situation may be challenging and they might consider options to ensure a successful reopening such as increasing ticket prices or applying an additional ‘recovery fund’ levy. Audiences were in favour of all options. (8)
