quite a few people have dm’d me asking what I use to make content so I’m gonna make a quick thread to just cover it all in one go!

all the stuff I use is pretty accessible, you don’t need super expensive stuff to make good quality content!

I use my iPhone 11 Pro to take all of my pictures and videos. Obviously this is the most expensive part of this thread.

Before, I was using my iPhone 7 (1st pic) and the quality is still decent, so an iPhone 11 Pro isn’t really necessary but I like the higher quality (2nd pic)

I’m pretty lucky that I live in an apartment with huge windows which = really good natural lighting but on days where it’s a bit dark I use my ringlight. I use my tripod to get those good angles. Both off amazon for around £20 or less.

My tripod has a phone holder attachment.

To edit my content, I mainly use these apps. InShot is great for editing quick videos, ImgPlay is great for making gifs and Picsart is a god tier app that I use to colour correct all of my photos to match my preferred vibe.

I like all of my pics to be bright, crisp and highly saturated. I have the Gold version (definitely worth paying for) but there’s plenty of filters/settings available on the free version.

I layer 3/4 different filters to achieve this.

I never use my iPhone 11’s portrait mode as I feel it does it too sloppily so I prefer to do it by hand using the ‘lens blur’ effect in Picsart.

I also use Picsart to watermark everything but it’s pretty time consuming and I’m sure there are better apps for it.

InShot is great for editing videos straight from your phone. I also have the pro version (again, worth paying for). For my longer videos I use premiere pro.

Other things to note:

I always keep a tidy background (personal preference).

Wall hangings are good for a nice background (mine are from amazon) but a plain wall looks banging too.

My hanging fairy lights are also from amazon.

My led light strip? Also amazon.

But yeah so that’s pretty much it! At least now when someone asks I can just link them this thread haha
