Dear synth manufacturers, please stop releasing gear with microscopic fonts on the display. Don't assume that everyone has 20/20 vision. Please make accessibility a higher priority in your instrument design. 🙏🏻

@WeAreElektron is a huge offender.

I had every single one of your current devices at some point (except the M:C). All of the give me eye pain.

I would love to be able to use your otherwise brilliant products.
Another really bad example is the screen of @Roland_US's MC 707.

Should come with a magnifier glass.
Squarp Pyramid is one of the best sequencer on the market for those who have perfect vision.

@squarpinstru
Here's a close up of @WeAreElektron's smallest font in the UI.

What font-size is that? 6px?
I understand that these are very innovative devices and it's a challenge to put all those features into a small, portable package. This is especially true for all the modular devices.

But we need more accessible hardware UIs, regardless.
But it's possible to put a lot of features into a device without having to force eye strain. Look at @synthstrom's Deluge.

Some complain that the screen is too cryptic. For me, it's a feature that allows me to actually use this device.
@AshunSound's HydraSynth's context dependent encoders have a light ring around them, so no need to put this info on a screen.

@WeAreElektron I'm sure you're aware, but still, here's a reminder.
I would love if the synth influencers called out manufacturers when they make inaccessible products. There should be more discussion about the topic.

Disclaimer: yes, I have really bad vision. I wear -8 and -9.5 D contact lenses. My glasses are even higher. My left eye can be corrected to 90% vision, but my left can only do 30% max.

But 75% of adults need some vision correction, so I might not be the only one struggling.
