How to write a Marxist academic critique of anarchism:

1. misrepresent anarchist authors through selective quotes.
2. quote what historic Marxists wrote about anarchism and treat it as automatically true or insightful.
3. make things up about anarchism.
For example, quote Malatesta arguing against democracy without pointing out that he's arguing against representative democracy in states. Then quote Lenin saying anarchism is "bourgeois individualism in reverse" and conclude that anarchists hate working class democracy.
Doing so would be a mistake because Malatesta explicitly advocates the self-management of society through workplace and community assemblies in which "everything is done to reach unanimity, and when this is impossible, one would vote and do what the majority wanted".
Or the fact that the constitution of the CNT printed in people's membership card literally says "we recognise the sovereignty of the individual, but we accept and agree to carry out the collective mandate taken by majority decision. Without this there is no organisation."
