1/? lessons to learn from V's route (a thread):
2/? The main focus in his route is him realizing that loving oneself is important in order to love another. And honestly I feel like this is something that isn't talked about a lot in romance genres. Usually the focus in romance movies/TV shows/games is finding someone else
3/? who will give you happiness and the truth is that no one can give you that. It's no one's responsibility to make you happy. Only you can make yourself happy. In other words, it's so important to love ourselves because when we don't, we seek validation from our relationships
4/? and/or partner. Unfortunately both Jihyun and Rika sought each other for validation as they both struggled with their insecurities, so when Jihyun said their love was only obsession, it was true.
5/? We're often ONLY shown the chemistry/infatuation between two people in the media so we're led to believe that that's all it's going to take for a relationship to work, but it doesn't.
6/? Another point to add is that love cannot change someone. I don't know how many times to repeat this. You cannot change someone. People will change when they decide to change. So do not stick in relationships waiting for them to change.
7/? Furthermore, don't place your partner on a pedestal. They're human who have faults just like any of us do.
To summarize, love yourself, we have to accept we cannot change people, and finally don't fall in love with the idea of someone/having a relationship.
Anyways, these are the things that I wish someone would have taught me about earlier and I didn't have to learn about through an anime game (no matter how much I love it). Love is not just this: *cue the sparks* (although it was a cute scene I'll admit, I still don't like it tho)
To end this thread, check out these two songs which remind me of V's route: Levanter by Stray Kids and Epiphany by BTS Jin đź’śđź’śđź’ś
