Unpopular opinion.

Everybody should study engineering before going on to their true calling - law, medicine, policy or blockchain.

Instead of 12y compulsory education upto 12th, it should be 16y upto BTech.

Let me explain.

It is exasperating to argue history with a someone who does not know how to use Tableau to visualize big data.

Imagine arguing with an economist who has never read Ayn Rand or music with someone who has neither heard a tape of Floyd or Palash Sen live.

Doctors today have no idea about epidemiology. The leaders in the battle against covid19 are all BTech. Some have an additional MBA

BTech teaches us logic gates. AND OR NAND XAND XOR etc. I see most lawyers with BA before LLB are logically deficient. They are seen arguing illogically on TV debates

Engineers dominate public policy, journalism, information and broadcasting etc

Even top cricketers Kumble, Srinath and Venky Prasad were engineers

Only logical commentator Harsha Bhogle did chemical engineering (king of branches) and MBA. Compare him to Sanju Manju or Shastri

Almost all desis who get US green card are engineers
