As someone who has worked for themselves for more than 10 years and can easily work from home but chooses not to (in normal times) I will tell you that working from home isn’t sustainable in the long run for many many people.

Leaving your house is good for you.
It also takes the responsibility off of a company to provide a good working environment and puts it on an individual. Companies want to pay less for remote workers yet workers are not responsible for paying for the extra square footage they will need in their homes to work.
Are “now responsible”
FYI: price per square foot for commercial is generally cheaper than residential. You are paying more for your work space at home than it would be in a commercial unit in your same zip code
I know everyone is excited about this new flexible life after this settles down—not having to commute into an office. But it’s going to truly suck for people who don’t have the means to expand their home spaces or have family situations that make working from home difficult
