A glass falls off a desk and breaks on the floor. The moment it is tipped off the edge the pieces locations were already determined by the speed and angle at which the glass was falling. Since this was a single event those pieces would end up in the same places 100% of the time.
The Big Bang is much like the glass, a single event. Which means all that you are, have done, and will do, are all determined from the moment the universe started. Down to the synapses in your brain.
Free will IS real however because our perception is real. This isn’t a nihilistic ideal to hold because at the end of the day our perception is all that the world is to us. However this idea got me thinkin about destiny.
I do not believe in destiny as a grandiose “defeat an evil wizard” or save the world sense. However what is meant to be will be as long as you put what you got into it. Nothing matters objectively but to our perception everything does.
