Title Sequence Appreciation!

1. THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO
design: Tim Miller & Neil Kellerhosue

David Fincher said he loves title sequences because it's a chance to orient the audience and get them ready for your film.

And yes, that's Tim Miller, director of DEADPOOL and TERMINATOR: DARK FATE as creative director on these titles through his company Blur Studios.
2. THE LAST BOY SCOUT
design: Heart Times Coffee Cup Equals Lightning

This riff on the Monday Night Football rock show opening is so dead on accurate and a perfect setup for this action buddy comedy that dives into the corrupt business of professional football.

3. IRON MAN 3
design: Danny Yount

I love the chaotic split screening taking us through the history of the series set to Brian Tyler's funky remix of the theme. It has a real energy and is so much fun.

4. 22 JUMP STREET
design: Brian Mah

Brilliant end title concept showing the infinite fictitious sequels and spin-offs from the Jump Street universe. I absolutely adore all the detail put into the fake movie posters.

5. ENTER THE VOID
design:Tom Kan

CW: Epilepsy, flashing images

This title sequence is an onslaught of typographic design unlike any other. You don't read these titles -- you experience and survive them, which describes Gaspar Noe perfect.
