this has been going on since last year, especially on stan twitter but people don't see to know where this script is actually from.
that script is ge'ez, its the predecessor to tigryina and ahmaric, each national languages of eritrea (tigryina) and ethiopia (ahmaric). ge'ez as a script as been around for CENTURIES(!) much more older than some of your countries
its actually very hard to learn ge'ez and is only USED in church settings, as it is seen as the language of priests. they have used this script and recorded the various important texts like the Bible, preserving highly respected works of art since the 13th century
here's a video by the New York Public Library on a manuscript
here's someone who is helping the younger generation in learning ge'ez
and especially given in the context of how africans were seen, how africans have been TOLD that they are lesser and have no "culture" its extremely disrespectful for people to use it as a means to "scare" people
not to mention how much we as a peoples have had to learn english just for an opportunity to be accepted in the wider world, leading us to struggle with our own mother tongue.
i didn't get bullied for my language and the way it sounded, for me to push myself to relearn it only for some person on twitter to think its "edgy" to think that its good to use this old script for the sake of some small twitter "beef"
also to this person saying its a "rune" ... its a real life language older than your entire ancestry i would be quick to shut the hell up and apologize
literally look up ge'ez and this is what shows up in the suggested. so yeah i would come correct if i were you
