WHO IS AMY DYESS?
when amy joined twitter, she was in her late twenties. she used her account mostly to tweet about football with the occasional political take. she also engaged in lots of twitter arguments with what she called trolls.
amy also frequently tweeted about being the cousin of jared leto and defending him against accusations of sexual assault by threatening lawsuits, although she did later admit he is her second cousin.
in her thirties she transitioned into being a political commentator. Here are some of her takes.
amy often tweeted in defense of white women in politics, who she felt were under attack by AOC and Bernie Sanders
she was specifically invested in the targeting of what she called "BernieBros."
amy was also staunchly anti biden, although she has changed her mind on this now
amy started opening up more about her past, claiming she had been targeted by the KKK and shot at. she also explained that she had been kicked out of the "Wise Women for Clinton" advocacy group because they were "psychos"
according to amy, she began entering radfem spaces because of harrassment she received on tumblr. she claims that she was doxxed and sexually harrassed for being a lesbian
this caused amy to start researching the movement, and she came across the youtuber terri strange, who she pursued and eventually dated.
amy begins tweeting about lesbianism. she also speaks about IDing as a boy as a child and facing pressure to transition because she was butch. she claims she came out as bi in 2000, then a lesbian in 2004. she later claims to have been a lesbian activist for 18 years as of 2019
although amy ws joining radfem spaces, she describes herself as adverse to theory. she starts speaking about getting verified and creating music for terfs
amy began marketing herself as a writer for terfs, attacking trans advocates.
this was also when she announced her campaign to run for president with famous terf Julie Beck. She continued to speak about this through out the year
after a lot of terfs shared her article on her medium blog, she started speaking about starting a lawsuit against twitter for silencing her, and asking for donations to do so
In March, Amy began soliciting donations for what she claimed would be a lesbian media channel, website, band, tv show, etc.
Amy continued to solicit donations for her show and film projects. As of 5/21/2020, amy has tweeted she owns the domain http://terfwars.com , which she has stated she wants to use to promote her spy thriller novel about infiltrating the GC movement
Here are amy's contributions to radfem media. she released one song on youtube, two trailers for her first episode of LTV, and then switched to posting trans-positive content
as for amy's twitter, she continued to post about being an advocate and leader of lesbians but did not directly engage in any radical feminism
a large part of amy's advocacy was tweeting against the website @PinkNews
amy continued to speak up against @PinkNews throughout 2018
In 2019, amy's views on @PinkNews radically changed. In august, she was still against them. In septmeber, she tried to reach out to other media platforms to share her story and was not well received. In december, she started tagging pinknews in her posts
amy did agree with being critical of bdsm, but has now appeared to dial back on these claims since terri strange ended their relationship
amy's views on political lesbianism are complicated. while she strongly condemned it, she posted on Oct 31 2019 that political lesbians are just "late bloomers" and it doesn't matter to her after famous terf Julie Bindel offered to write an article about it with her.
Amy began attracting controversy in terf spaces when she tried to position herself as against working with the right, despite her past tweets endorsing it. she received very little engagement from terfs after this.
