Ultimately it comes down to your favourite YouTubers not having representation at CAA.
I feel like everyone's mad at this for the wrong reasons. Krasinski did not "sell out." He's not a YouTuber. He's a TV actor who used his built in audience to make a YouTube channel and did exactly what TV actors with representation do when something is moderately successful.
What it shows is that the ability to sell a show to CBS has absolutely zero to do with the concept, execution or quality. His show was markedly less impressive or interesting than many established content creators doing a similar DIY news show.
It's so weird watching established TV personalities reduced to creating YouTube shows from their home and failing miserably at doing what YouTubers have been succeeding at for years.
Have you seen Bill Maher sitting in his tree and calling out Jimmy Fallon for not taking his "tree-sitting challenge"?

They really have no idea wtf they're doing.
But as Cody pointed out during this week's Some More News, the truly disappointing thing about the failure of Quibi is that they'll hire TV writers and TV hosts to rip off an existing YouTube channel for content instead of hiring YT content creators.
This thread is blowing up a bit, so all I'll say is become a recurring Patron subscriber to your favourite YouTuber.
