The SAT/ACT is officially SUSPENDED FOR FOUR YEARS FOR THE UC’s! What that means is that students from low income areas can actually have a greater chance of applying and being accepted! Class of 2021 apply to your heart’s content PLEASE!

Just to add onto this. This a HUGE short term victory for low-income students. This does mean now that the UC’s have full control over how they choose to accept students. The hope is that it will lead to a more inclusive process but that’s what we’re fighting for!

The UC’s are the University of California system consisting of 13 public universities such as UCLA and UC Berkeley. This does not apply for every single college in the nation just California!
