i talked about getting a body cam

as a trans person of color i decided that the only way i could feel even a little safe is proof of my statements

there i was talking about getting a body cam

it led to this nurse

who found out i was trans and middle eastern

she proceeded to use this as an opertunity to complain about NB people and muslims

then she found out i had adhd and told me she knew who wished their autistic kids had never been born

sp that was fun

anyway mom said she wished id reported it and i got very defensive

i talked about how the reason i didnt report it and the reason i wanted a cam were the same

eventually tho i realized it wasn't just that

it was also what happened to me during my life had and how it hurt

from my assualts being downplayed

to my transness which being villified

my race being a matter of debate for other people
- both to deny and to fetishise

my adhd and my beliefs which got me in trouble especially with school
- and i was patronized A LOT because of it

then of course there was my mental health which had been neglected for years by medical professionals

as well as the joke that is trans healthcare

years YEARS i went unaided

during this time i was assualted again (i went into shock a week later) and when i reported it?

it was at that point in the conversation my thoughts one out and i slowly begand to cry

as i burst into tears saying:

FOREVER!

FOREVER black people said they were being beaten by cops

women were being assualted by people clost to them

queer and intersex people demanded don't pathologize me

people from different races and ethnicties yelled for an end to essentialism

disabled and ND people cried out for accomidation and universal desing

screaming for even an ounce of compasion

no proof

until cameras came to shove that proof into their fking faces

not a single one was believed or respected
maybe on occasion if it benifitted the powers that be as well

even with reocrdings of negligence, racism, and other abuses

EVEN NOW

peopel still deny literal evidence

i just couldnt stop crying

my life seemed normal

but then why could only a camera make me feel better?
