There are things I like about cryptocurrency. It could make an excellent medium of exchange.

An issue is that those who designed it did so from an ideological bent, whilst concurrently misunderstanding the nature of money.

There might be some useful flavours, though I suspect they'd need to be proof of stake.

As to the first of the latter, HMS share their ideology with firm crypto believers (not the speculator, or even the trader. the firm believer).

2/rant

As to the latter of the last, they word money is a bit murky, but it fulfills a continuum of functions.

Historically the functions have not always been the same, or to the same degree at all times, in various locations.
