A thread on Contact tracing- but not what you might be expecting. “Hello this is 119, can I help you?” “Hello yes, I think I might have Coronavirus” “ok, so I need you and your household to isolate. I’ve got a few questions but then let’s get you tested”.
“Hello this is 119. Your test has come back positive. You need to keep isolating and your household needs to isolate for 14 days. I’d like to talk to you about everyone you’ve been in contact with over recent days- everyone that’s been within 2 metres of you for over 15 minutes.”
“Hello this is 119. I’m calling because you’ve been in contact with someone that’s tested positive for coronavirus. I’m afraid you need to isolate for 14 days. If you get symptoms please call 119 and we will arrange a test for you. No your family don’t need to isolate at present”
How do you avoid the inconvenience of being a contact? Don’t be a contact! 2 metres- it’s a social distance thing. All the time when you are away from your own home. No exceptions. This is what is going to get us out of lockdown. Contact tracing- don’t be a contact.
