I’ve got a beer for every World Cup and Euros winner for my birthday next weekend. Had to go for four Quilmes as I can’t get any Uruguayan beer and it’s closest

Beer 1 - Quilmes
1930 WC - Uruguay

Unfortunately I couldn’t source a Uruguayan beer so Quilmes brewed a mere 30 miles from Uruguay will have to do. Uruguay won the 1930 final 4-2 against Argentina with goals from Dorado, Cea, Iriarte and Castro in Montevideo.

Beer 2 - Peroni Red
1934 WC - Italy

Onto Peroni Red now to celebrate Italy’s 1934 win. Goals from Orsi and Schiavio meant that Italy snuck past Czechoslovakia in Rome after extra time.

Beer 3 - Peroni Red
1938 WC - Italy

Back to back Italian victories mean more Peroni Red. The last World Cup before the War saw Italy win 4-2 against Hungary in Paris with goals from Colaussi and Piola (both grabbing a brace).

Beer 4 - Quilmes
1950 WC - Uruguay

Last of the cheat beers as Uruguay shocked the Brazilians in the last game of the 1950 World Cup, needing only to avoid a loss at the Maracanã, Brazil lost 2-1 to Uruguay with goals from Schiaffino and Ghiggia.

Beer 5 - Früh Kölsch
1954 WC - Germany

Some Köln bier to celebrate the Miracle of Bern. Despite winning their last 31 matches, Hungary were defeated by Fritz Walter’s Germany in a 3-2 comeback. Morlock and Rahn x2 saw the Germans beat the Mighty Magyars.

Beer 6 - Forest Pilsner
1958 WC - Brazil

This Amazon Beer is getting drank thanks to The Seleção first win in 1958. Goals from Vavá, Pelé and Zagallo saw Brazil win 5-2 against the hosts Sweden in Solna.

Beer 7 - Baltika
1960 Euros - USSR

A big thanks to @ballstothis for this drop! The Soviet Union won the first Euros in 1960 beating Yugoslavia in Paris. Lev Yashin’s team won the final 2-1 after extra time with goals from Metreveli and Ponedelnik.

Beer 8 - Forest Pilsner
1962 WC - Brazil

Another win for The Seleção this time in Santiago, Chile as Amarildo, Vito and Vavá helped Garrincha’s team beat the hosts in the final

Beer 9 - Estrella
1964 Euros - Spain

Spain won their first international tournament in 1964 defeating the USSR in Madrid. Goals from Pereda and Martínez saw the host bring the trophy home.

Beer 10 - Camden Hells
1966 - England

The hosts won the final with a dodgy goal and a breakaway after extra time with goals from Hurst x3 and Peters.

Beer 11 - Peroni Red
1968 Euros - Italy

Apparently didn’t post this one last night, may have been drunk. Italy beat Yugoslavia 2-1 in a replay with goals from Riva and Anastasi in Rome

Beer 12 - Forest Pilsen
1970 WC - Brazil

Goals from Pele, Gérson, Jairzinho and Carlos Alberto gave the Brazilians a 4-1 in the Azteca against Italy. Their third win meant they kept the Jules Rimet trophy.

Beer 13 - Früh Kölsch
1972 Euros - West Germany

Goals from Müller x2 and Wimmer saw the Beckenbaur’s Bratwurst Boys lift the trophy at Heysel.

Beer 14 - Beck’s
1974 WC - West Germany

The European Champions became World Champions in Munich with goals from Breitner and Müller beating Cruyff’s Holland 2-1.

Beer 15 - Budvar
1976 Euros - Czechoslovakia

A 2-2 between the Czechs and Germans meant the game went to penalties. The final was won when Antonín Panenka chipped the ball over Sepp Maier in a penalty shootout, giving that technique its name.

Beer 16 - Quilmes
1978 WC - Argentina

Argentina won their first World Cup at home thanks to goals from Kempes x2 and Bertoni in a 3-1 win after extra time. Quilmes is so good.
