I've recently had so many emails from people starting out in illustration, which aren't just one simple question, it's the full "tell me everything, I need contacts and crit my folio and write my bio, give me a step up, build my career!"

Sorry folks, can't do it...
...firstly I'm not a mentoring programme, I don't have the time or a stack of cash to rely on and do your work for you.

Secondly, anyone with a stable career worked fucking years to build it, reading articles, trying, failing, learning.

If you want to do it, YOU do it.
I'm sorry if it's harsh, but there's resources out there, blogs, industry bodies, YouTubers, magazines, chat groups, Slack channels and whatever else etc etc etc. They all exist to share good advice and provide all the services you need. You can't get it all from one person.
...just adding to this thread from last week.

If you are in the habit of emailing working illustrators for all the answers to the golden path of success, firstly there isn't one, secondly there's brilliant lovely people like Lisa out there to help you https://twitter.com/lisahassell/status/1260216627217543168
