Donald Trump hasn't failed in fighting the pandemic. He isn't interested in fighting the pandemic. He's not president to help anyone, to save any lives, he's there to help himself and destroy government as an impediment to corruption.

And your flimsy myth of American exceptionalism is what got us in this mess in the first place. It is an illusion, a cultish belief which Trump supporters are still lost in with a religious devotion.

Exceptionalism is propaganda. Period. And it's Trump's main weapon.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand how smart people can sit there and write articles fighting Trump by saying, "Sorry, Mr. President, America is ALREADY great. You don't need to make it great again."

Come on. Wake up to the new reality. Take an actual look around.

Trump isn't going to "do his job."

He isn't a president like past presidents. He isn't just inept, he's intentionally dismantling the American system of government in order to transform the country into an overt engine for corruption.

This. Isn't. Hard. People.

It's like these people are living in 1903, watching the first airplane fly across the blue sky, and someone tells them it's an airplane and they plug their ears and scream, "No, it has to be a kite."

The delusion about American politics is just off-the-charts maddening.
