Beyoncé was threatened to get lynched because she dared to sing about police brutality, Ariana got death threats for the death of her boyfriend that she had no control over. Kehlani got death + rape threats for a breakup song. All the women Lana mentioned have been through hell.
Women in the industry are overly criticized for literally anything that they sing about. That& #39;s not something that she solely experiences. Her criticism doesn& #39;t even come close to the criticism those women faced that& #39;s why they re supported and celebrated so much by their fans.
The fact that she& #39;s taking this moment to make it about her doesn& #39;t sit right with me especially since she used WOC as an example when they& #39;re also receiving racism throughout their career but she somehow overlooks that to further victimize herself.
I& #39;m not saying she& #39;s not getting criticism but she shouldn& #39;t overlook these womens struggles especially their racial struggles in the industry because she can& #39;t breakthough or get a number 1 hit.
And for Lana stans yes I read through her post where she states these women aren& #39;t being "crucified or anything". She& #39;s somehow seeing this as solely about her.
