From whatever lil I knw of temple architecture, these carvings frm #Ayodhya appear to b from d entrance to d main temple. Usually such floral patterns & women adorn part of d structure around d main garbhagraha. Nagara style architecture, ofcourse! Is this frm GUPTA period? https://twitter.com/sardanarohit/status/1263316147757133824">https://twitter.com/sardanaro...

Wow! This report says they found a SHIVLING too. If it is really frm Gupta period, the shivling wld have a face on it (is my observation, vaguely remember reading abt it). They used red sandstones. https://twitter.com/amritabhinder/status/1263361910927327232?s=21">https://twitter.com/amritabhi... https://twitter.com/amritabhinder/status/1263361910927327232">https://twitter.com/amritabhi...
Updating this thread: I think I got it rightâ this really appears to be frm GUPTA period(3CE to 543CE).
