Frankly I think a lot of the charge against Black folks using academic language on Twitter? Is because it's harder for y'all to steal our analysis when we use big words.

So I can only talk about this from my experience. But my experience is someone who is not currently in academia, but while I was in grad school and Tumblr started becoming a thing, I dedicated a significant portion of my life to making academic resources widely available online.

This was circa 2009 when I first signed up for Tumblr, but I really got into it during my PhD program years, circa 2010-2013, and I kept it up after I left the program.
