Here is a thread on why Supergirl is stronger than Superman. I am making this bc a dudebro pissed me off today. Again, this is ONLY in terms of power. Also, there may be changes depending on the continuity and writers but I’ll try to explain it as I go.

Moving on from comics, I am dropping this video from Superman/Batman: Apocalypse where Kara takes on Darkseid (an actual god) with NO training.. where even Superman gets beaten in the first few minutes.
In CW Supergirl, Clark often tells Kara that she is stronger than him (which made dudebros mad). And in S2E22, Clark gets infected with Silver Kryptonite & he sees Zod instead of Supergirl. But in the end, Kara defeats her cousin & brings him back.

During the Crisis crossover, Kara uses her heat vision longer than than Clark before draining out. This also made many dudebros mad but again, that seems to happen a lot.
To end this thread, I am not saying Supergirl is better than Superman. I don't think she is & I am fine with it. Her being stronger than him in terms of powers is not a bad thing. Not to mention, how she has been a teenager post crisis & has taken down enemies twice her size.
Clark has the advantage of being more experienced & skilled than her bc he has been Superman longer and can control his powers better. Kara being a teenager, is not only reckless with less training but she doesn't hold back her punches. She has absorbed sunlight far longer.
She was older than Clark when she left Krypton, so if Clark is stronger bc the gravity on Krypton was more dense than Earth... with that logic Kara should be much more stronger since she was a full grown teenager when she landed on Earth, who was capable of all abilities as him.
